Fabulous Friday!

Jack had a wonderful Friday at school! He earned 3 different awards! He got a certificate and a Star Student bear from the principal for knowing all the letters and sounds! His teacher put his picture on a couple of bulletin boards in the hallway--one board says "I know all my letters" and the other says "I know all my letter sounds." Everyone who passes by these bulletin boards will see his achievement! There are 2 other children in his class who earned their certificates and bears, too! Another award is called the JET award. The mascot for his school is the Wright Elementary Jets. All the students try to be JETS--Join the team; Encourage all; Take responsibility; Show respect. When a student is caught being a JET, he gets a slip of paper describing how he was a JET and this goes in a special suitcase in the front office. A drawing is done weekly. Jack's name was drawn on Friday! He got a JET award for encouraging peers at his table to get on "0" (zero) voice level and follow directions. He received a nice certificate for Good Citizenship and a cool bumper sticker for our car from the principal! Jack also earned a Waffle House Reader certificate for being a good reader in his classroom! The certificate allowed him to get a free waffle at Waffle House. Chris and Jack went this morning to get the free waffle! We are so, so proud of Jack!!
