Thanksgiving Celebration

Jack's class had a Thanksgiving Celebration today! They shared songs and poems about Thanksgiving with parents. It was really cute! Jack did a wonderful job pointing to the words of one of the songs as the children sang. After the performance, everyone got to enjoy some Thanksgiving treats! There was pumpkin pie, pumpkin roll, chocolate chip cookies, and cookies decorated like turkeys! One of the parents made each child a paper bag turkey filled with popcorn!

Jack brought home a Thanksgiving Cookbook created by the students in his class. Each student was asked how they make their favorite Thanksgiving dish. Here is what Jack put in the cookbook:

Thanksgiving Grilled Cheese
You have to have toast and you have to have melted cheese and it is still a square. You need toast on top of it again. You cook it for 40 hours in the oven. Take it out and eat it!

When we got home from the Thanksgiving Celebration, Jack decided he wanted to jump in a pile of leaves in the backyard!
