Birthday Fun

Today is my birthday and it was a great day! Jack surprised me with a special birthday card he made this morning. He and Chris sang "Happy Birthday" to me, too! Chris and I went to see the Broadway musical "Phantom of the Opera" at the Kentucky Center for the Arts. It was awesome!! Our seats were in the 3rd row so we were close enough to actually see the expressions on the faces of the performers! After that, we ate dinner at the Old Spaghetti Factory. One of the actresses from Phantom came in to eat shortly after we did. On the way to pick up Jack and Rachel from Nana's house, we stopped at the Homemade Ice Cream and Pie Kitchen for a little dessert! When I was growing up I always asked Mom to make chocolate cake with chocolate icing for my birthdays. That's my favorite! At the Pie Kitchen I got a chocolate cupcake with chocolate icing. That was my birthday treat! Thanks for the birthday cards and calls! It was a special day (although I don't like getting older)!
