Jack, Rachel, and I got to go to the Louisville Zoo and Splash Park today! We met Jodie, Melissa, Molly, Paula, and their kids for a fun morning. First we went to the Splash Park which Rachel and Jack both loved! Rachel jumped right in and started playing in the water! She wanted to do what the big kids were doing and she got upset when she didn't get to. After a quick snack, she felt better and got back in the water. When we finished at the Splash Park, we walked around the zoo to see all the animals. This was Rachel's first time at the zoo so she was excited to see animals that she has only seen in books! Jack was pretty excited, too! A peacock walked right in front of him! He couldn't believe it! Jack's favorite part was watching the gorillas. One of them kept sticking his bottom in the air towards the window Jack and Zachary were looking in. Of course, being boys, they just loved that! It was so funny! Rachel liked the birds in Lorakeet Landing. She really wanted to touch one. We played at the playground for a little while and then headed back to the front of the zoo where we had a picnic lunch. It was a really fun morning even though it was HOT!! Rachel stayed awake until we got on the interstate!

We had a great time too! I can't wait to do it again. Zachary kept asking when we could play with Jack again.
It was so much fun! Isabelle & I had a great time and we are looking forward to our next outing with everyone. We will have to get one planned before school starts!
