Rachel and I went to the Library yesterday for Story Hour. She loved it! We got to read lots of books together with other children and their moms. Rachel got a little pouty when she had to give one of the books back. She wanted to read it some "mo-wah". After reading books, the children got to play with toys and interact with each other. Rachel was very social!
Today we went to a Mom and Me Art class. The medium was sand! Rachel got to put on a purple smock which she liked. It was way too big for her, but she didn't care. The teacher read a book about a little boy and his mom spending the day at the beach. Whatever the boy did in the book, we did in our sand. The teacher poured water in the sand to make it feel like beach sand. At one point, Rachel was given some shiny, colorful pebbles to hide in her sand. When she found them all she could take them and wash them off in a bucket of water. She LOVED the water and didn't want to stop playing in it. She wanted to splash, splash, splash! It was lots of fun! We will go to Art class once a month.

The art class sounds like a lot of fun! I was wondering where you take it, I am a mom of 2 kiddos and that sounds like something we would enjoy doing. We already take music but this would be another great artistic outlet.
I take the class at a place in Shelbyville called Art Is. It is scheduled on 2 Wednesdays each month.
