Rachel and I went to her 2nd Art class this morning. It was lots of fun! Rachel was the only student that showed up, so she got one-on-one attention! After getting her smock on, Mrs. C. read a book about trees called A Tree is Nice. It shows what happens to trees during each season. Then she gave Rachel 4 different kinds of posterboard leaves to paint. Rachel used a sponge brush to dab yellow, orange, brown, and red paints on the leaves. She loved it! She was free to paint however she wanted. When she was happy with the way her leaves looked, she decided to paint on the table (covered with paper, of course). She did a little finger painting, too. Mrs. C. gave her a paintbrush and some cool gel glue. Rachel used the paintbrush to put the glue on posterboard to glue her painted leaves on. We plan to frame her beautiful artwork! I forgot to take my camera, but I will post pictures of her artwork soon. I wish I had remembered the camera because she was having the best time and she had paint all over her face! FUN!
