Busy Day

We have had a very busy day today! At 9:10 this morning, Rachel and I went to Portrait Innovations to have her 2 year pictures taken. She looked so cute in her new pillowcase dress from Jodie! Rachel didn't really warm up to the photographer at first, but she soon fell in love with the camera. We got some very cute pictures!

Jack had gone to work with Chris so he didn't have to suffer through the photography session. Rachel and I met them at WJIE when we were finished with pictures. We ate lunch with Chris and then headed off to Rachel's 2 year well-check appointment. She is healthy and developing on track! Since Rachel was about 21 months or so, she has been able to identify all of the capital letters, numbers to 10, colors, and shapes. She can now identify some of the lowercase letters. She can say the alphabet without singing it (she doesn't really know the song yet). It's amazing what she knows at this age. On the developmental scale at the doctor's office, she was in the 3 1/2 year-old range for letters, etc. Rachel has a great memory. You can show her something one time and she will remember it much later.

On the growth chart, she is still a petite little thing:
*weight = 25 lbs. (45th %ile)
*height = 32 in. (8th %ile)
*head circumference = 19 1/2 cm. (85th %ile)

She had to get 1 shot (which will complete her immunizations until age 4) and 1 finger prick to test lead and iron.
