We are very sad today. I went to the doctor after having suspicion that something was wrong with the baby. I saw the nurse practitioner because she was the only one in the office today. Anyway, she tried for 15 minutes to find the baby's heartbeat with the mini doppler. With no luck, she sent me to the Middletown office to have an ultrasound to check on the baby. I am 14 weeks now, but the baby only measured at 12 weeks. There was no flicker of a heartbeat on the ultrasound. It had stopped 2 weeks ago. I have felt great and had no indication that anything might be wrong until the last couple of days. I am scheduled to have a D&C on Thursday. It's very sad, but we know that babies go to Heaven so that softens the pain a little bit. There is a reason for everything and God knows what He's doing. We are trusting Him. Please keep us in your prayers as we go through this sad time.

My heart breaks for you. If it is any consalation, Granddaddy is ther now and he has great arms for holding babies, and plenty of practice. I am sure he is watching over that little one right now.
