Let the Potty Training Begin!

I bought Rachel a little potty a couple of weeks ago. I set it in the bathroom and I mention it every now and then. I haven't made her sit on it yet. She has recently begun to tell me when she poops in her diaper--not every time, but a lot of the time. Today she wanted to sit on the potty. She took me in the bathroom and said, "Potty!". So I took her diaper off and helped her sit down. I got her a book so she would stay there a few minutes, which she did. After about 10 minutes, she was ready to get up. Nothing in the potty, but at least she sat there for a good amount of time. Of course, about 5 minutes after I put a diaper back on her she pooped!!! Oh well! It's just the beginning!
